The Cavitation ultrasound field creates bubbles in the liquid that surround the fat cells, which gradually grow, and implode. As the membranes of fat cells do not have the structural capacity to withstand the vibrations, the effect of cavitation easily breaks them, while sparing the vascular, nervous and muscular tissue.

After disruption and emulsification of the fat cells, liquid which makes up the fat cells, in the form of triglycerides, is released into the interstitial fluid between the cells. This fluid is then metabolized to glycerol and free fatty acids. Water soluble glycerol is absorbed by the circulatory system and used as the energy source, whereas the insoluble free fatty acids are transported to the liver and processed as fatty acids from food.

Ultrasonic cavitation causes an emulsification of the fat, releasing the triglyceride fluid which is easy to eliminate through the urine and the lymphatic system. The whole process is performed in around 30 minutes and requires the use of 2 treatments heads that are applied to the treated area.

What areas of the body can be treated?

Ultrasonic cavitation is effective on any area of concentrated fat. However, due to the size of the ultrasonic heads, not every area is treatable. More intricate areas such as under the chin, ankles, etc are unfortunately untreatable at this stage. The most common treatment areas are:
Stomach, Sides (love handles),Legs,Buttocks,Arms,Chest,Back, Cellulite

Will I need to take time off work?

No. This treatment requires no downtime whatsoever. There is nothing special you need to do pre-treatment and once you have had the treatment you can carry on your day as normal.

What are the side effects?

There are currently no reported side effects attributable to ultrasonic cavitation treatment. As with anything else, if you do notice anything unusual post-treatment you should consult a doctor immediately.

How many treatments will I need?

This will differ wildly depending on your current body shape and what your weight loss goals are. You should start to see a real difference following your first or possibly second treatment and most people will do a full course of 9-12 treatments on a given area.

Is it painful?

No. The treatment is totally painless and actually quite relaxing.

Are there any post-treatment guidelines to be followed?

Ultrasonic cavitation treatment stands alone in requiring very little from you away from the treatment. That being said, there are things you can do to aid the treatment in your daily life and the technician will discuss this in more detail as part of your consultation
